Common Queries
How do I become a client?
The first step is to contact us to set up an initial phone consultation, free of charge. We will discuss your concerns for your student and determine whether Kids First might be a good fit for your family. If desired, we will follow up with an intake appointment and academic assessments, culminating with an assessment review and recommendations before deciding if educational therapy would be a benefit to your student.
Can you support my child's IEP or 504 Plan?
Yes. Upon request, we can provide suggestions of ways to improve your child's IEP or 504 Plan. We can also attend IEP meetings at your request to share what we observe within educational therapy sessions and how your student's needs can be supported at school.
Do you refer to other specialists?
Yes. We are affiliated with a network of professionals, including educational psychologists, child and family therapists, executive functioning professionals, and more. When appropriate, we refer to these professionals for support in their areas of expertise.
